McLean Mill Historic Park’s hospitality and events teams are committed to ensuring that your meeting, retreat, training program or other is successful, comfortable and unlike any other. Our uniquely forested park brings a rustic, west coast ambiance, and truly historic feel to your event. Our park features 32 acres of pristine, wooded terrain, surrounded by the beautiful Beaufort Mountain range. McLean Mill Historic Park features a large hall perfect for any workshop, meeting, or staff appreciation dinner. 

Our antique locomotives and Alberni Pacific Railway Crew are available to charter your group from the heritage E & N station and, upon request, the Barkley Hotel, by rail to our site and back; a wonderfully unique experience for an event that will surely be fondly remembered by many for years to come.

Packages

R.B Retreat

The R.B Retreat is designed for corporate retreats and multi-day workshops. Enjoy exclusive access to the entirety of McLean Mill Historic Park & its amenities. Our entire site becomes dedicated strictly to you and your team. Regular train service will be cancelled and our park will be closed to the general public allowing you undisturbed time from as early as 6AM right through to the following morning. We will have a dedicated concierge service ensuring that all of your questions and concerns are addressed from 9AM-5PM, and our property caretaker will be onsite throughout your stay and overnight to answer any questions you may have about our historic site.

 • Full use of entire campground for 1 night

After Hours Retreat

After Hours Retreat is ideal for those looking for an early evening start time to their workshop or retreat. You and your team will experience exclusive access to our site from 4:00PM right through to the following morning.

• Visitors Centre Grand Hall (Capacity 120)

• Use of MMS picnic tables, banquet tables and chairs

• 4 National Historic Houses for workshops & training purposes

• Setup & tear down services

Access to our grand hall will be granted at 5:00PM the evening before your event for setup purposes.

Evening Minutes

Evening Minutes allows you and your team access to the entirety of our site from 5PM-11PM. This package is designed for in and out meetings, for clients not looking for lodging but are looking for a space to meet, celebrate and/or dine in a rustic, forested and detached environment.

Amenities included:

• Village Courtyard & 3 tiered deck

• Visitors Centre Grand Hall (Capacity 120)

• Use of MMS picnic tables, banquet tables and chairs

• 4 National Historic Houses for workshops & training purposes

• Use of all A/V equipment: 2 Microphones, surround sound, podium & T.V

Day Rate

Day Rate allows you and your team access to our site & hall for 8 hours, from as early as 7AM-5PM. This is the perfect package for clients looking for a venue to host a crash course, workshop, or meeting space. This package is designed for those who do not require lodging, but are looking for a space to meet, create, or learn in a rustic, forested environment.

Amenities Included:

• Village Courtyard & 3 tiered deck

• Visitors Centre Grand Hall (Capacity 120)

• Use of MMS picnic tables, banquet tables and chairs

• 4 National Historic Houses for workshops & training purposes
