Step back in time and enjoy the rich history of McLean Mill National Historic Site
We are currently in our off season, but welcome you to take a walk through the historic village and to observe the heritage houses, steam equipment and sawmill in a self-guided tour anytime between dawn and dusk. Maps are available in our courtyard and the site office is open Tuesday-Saturday 10:00AM - 4:00PM
- Our Gift Shop, Steam Pot Cafe and most heritage buildings are closed for restoration & preservation during the winter season.
- Trains are expected to operate again in June 2019, at which point our Gift Shop, Steam Pot Cafe and site amenities will re-open for the summer months.
The historic steam sawmill is no longer producing lumber for sale or demonstration. We welcome guests to observe the intricacies and to learn of the inner workings through our signage and displays from the viewing decks. McLean Mill proudly offers interpretive guided tours right inside the mill itself during out summer season.
Well behaved, leashed pets are welcome
A reminder to please pickup after your pets and to be courteous of those around you. Pets are prohibittied inside the Steam Pot Cafe and as a safety precaution should be kept at a distance from the JJ Logging Show.
